SPLIT

My family is a convergence of two very distinct cultures. My mom’s side of the family is Polish, and my dad’s side is Korean. My work focuses on both the joys and struggles that come along with this duality. By photographing myself and my family members, I hope to demonstrate what my experience being biracial has been and how it manifests itself in my everyday life. Some images are more literal representations, while others are more metaphorical, however; in all, my imagery represents the core values, experiences, and identities relating to where I come from and who I am.
